Thousands of people will live, work and spend money in Springside. There will be 600 households of various sizes, around 1,500 office workers, plus housing association tenants and students. The area will also draw in people from the surrounding neighbourhoods and those seeking a quick and pleasant walking or cycling route across the west of the city.
Open to business
To meet the needs of these different groups of people and to create a place people want to be, a varied and useful collection of retail outlets will set up in Springside. The outlets will be at street level as part of the office buildings and will include a local supermarket, small shops, cafes and restaurants.
