Springside One and Two

The two office buildings at Springside will face out onto Fountainbridge, leading directly into the Exchange district and the centre of the city.

Springside One

The first office building, Springside One, will provide over 5,700 sq m / 60,000 sq ft of flexible space over five floors. The design has been approved by planning and construction is expected to be completed in 2010.

Sir Sean Connery’s birthplace

Springside One is being built over the place where famed Fountainbridge son, Sir Sean Connery, was born. His first home was demolished many years ago to make way for the Scottish & Newcastle brewery, that has now been cleared to make way for Springside.

Accesible and flexible

Each level of Springside One has beeen designed to be accessible and adapatable to meet the needs of modern business. This includes the possibility of subdivision of the floorplates on different levels. Contact the joint agents if you would like further details.

Springside Two

Springside Two is a larger building, consisting of around 7,000 sq m / 75,000 sq ft of space and is scheduled for completion in 2012. Altogether Springside will have office space for around 1,500 people.

HBoS hub

The office buildings will face the 14 acre HBoS administrative hub that is being planned on the southern side of Fountainbridge. HBoS plan to bring people from 16 different sites across the city together in one place, introducing about 6000 staff into an increasingly lively and essential part of the city centre.

CDA

The buildings have been designed by award-winning architects CDA. Established in Edinburgh in 1980 the group now has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and Brighton.
