First Springside homes approved

Detailed plans, approved by the local authority, set out that 219 apartments will be built in this first burst of growth at Springside.
The homes will be a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments set around central courtyards. The design of the homes will be distinctive and contemporary and the buildings will neatly slot into the existing city streetscape.
A 650-space underground car park has also been given the green light. This huge subterranean space will make going from front door to car door, easy and safe for residents.
Those who move into the first Springside homes will lead the way in bringing new life and energy into the Fountainbridge area.
